It has been my experience over some decades now that the vibes that you sense as you walk into the reception area of an office are almost inevitably a predictor of what you may expect to find all the way up the hierarchy in that office.
And Divyadrashti did not disappoint. As I recently walked through the door of this established eyecare centre in Borivali West, I was greeted by an ambience in which courtesy and positivity combined smoothly with professional service and efficiency. Yes, a winning combo that I sensed in a heartbeat, and which (I later found) continued in a steady arterial flow to the top.
The Laser Cataract Surgeries on both my eyes were performed by Dr Nimesh Mehta, Medical Director of the centre. My faith in Dr Mehta is firmly grounded in the surgeries he had performed on my mother aeons ago. So, I have to confess I experienced virtually no nervousness or fear about the procedure (except what any rational human being would - should - experience in regard to a surgical procedure).
And my faith in Dr Mehta's surgical expertise was resoundingly reinforced. I owe him a huge Thankyou shoutout.
But I would be remiss if I did not mention that Dr Mehta's work is so ably buttressed by his medical, para-medical and administrative team. Dr Antariksh Mohta who carried out the initial examination and evaluation in my case, is one of the most empathetic listeners in a field that, even today, suffers from a paucity of doctors who are ready and willing to engage in "active listening". Dr Mohta belongs to the minority of doctors who do. He answered my questions, cleared my doubts, and seeded the trust and positivity that always, I believe, are invaluable assets in the therapeutic process.
Singly, and in unison, this cohort of professionals made robust contributions to my treatment and to the healing process that progressed so smoothly. I'll always remember, with thanks.
